:: Oversize center medallion in scrolling colorful arabesques and vines bearing blossoms and floral bouquets atop a covered field of sprawling vines and buds. Corner spandrel overlays loosely reciprocate the contour of the main medallion with peacocks therein! Amazing design and nuances throughout with an unusual rainbow like effect in shades based on a period correct painted rug. Colors and shades include: Navy blue, jade green, mauve, sapphire blue, beige, sand, fuchsia, blush, rust, sandalwood, pale raspberry red, soft saffron yellow and more. Condition notes: Even, short pile height across. Original side cord selvages intact. Fully secured sides and ends. Unlike many of our offerings this carpet has been photographed prior to expert cleaning and minor preparations to ensure secure for long term use. There is one section of recess to the outer minor strip border which is marginal, and to preserve originality have refrained from levelling the end which may be an option of preference to consider as custom work. Exceptional unrestored and original condition with just a few minor repairs and no considerable refurbishing. Slight contour to shape, within normal margin for type and age. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Farahan Sarouk carpet made in Persia circa 1920's vintage.
